The Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a recent introduction that enables "always on" high-speed internet connectivity delivered through traditional telephone lines. Since these telephone lines also support the operation of most alarm systems, there can be instances where the flow of electronic data will degrade the alarm systems' performance.
