Technical Support: VoIP
Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is a new method of communication that is becoming increasingly popular. VOIP uses the internet to transmit telephone calls instead of the traditional wiring maintained by the telephone companies. Unfortunately, since most alarm systems depend on traditional telephone wiring to function, it is possible that communication between alarms in homes using VOIP and the central station may not be dependable. Therefore, we at Liberty Alarm Services recommend that our clients maintain a traditional telephone line to ensure dependable alarm service. If you have any questions regarding the use of VOIP and our alarm systems, please contact our Service Department.
If you find that after reviewing the above Technical Support information you still have a question, please do not hesitate to contact us via telephone or email. We will respond to inquiry promptly.
